This website and app (“Noko”) are operated by:

2. What data we collect

• Email addresses (if you subscribe via our form).
• Account data (email, password, sign-in credentials) via Firebase Authentication.
• Usage data & content stored in Firebase Firestore.
• Purchase information (subscription status, product ID, purchase date) via RevenueCat.
• AI inputs (text you type into AI features) temporarily processed by Google Gemini.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data.

3. How we use the data

• To send updates about Noko if you subscribed.
• To create and manage your account.
• To save study progress and preferences.
• To deliver subscription features and verify purchases.
• To provide AI-powered features (answers, suggestions, feedback).

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

• Consent – when you submit your email or use AI features.
• Legitimate interests – to operate, secure, and improve Noko.
• Contract – to provide services you purchase or sign up for.

5. How and where we store data

• Emails are stored in Google Sheets (Google LLC).
• Accounts & progress data are stored in Firebase (Firestore + Auth, Google LLC).
• Purchase data are processed by RevenueCat, Inc.
• AI feature inputs are sent to Google Gemini and processed temporarily to return results.

These providers may process data outside the EU (e.g., in the United States). Transfers rely on GDPR-compliant safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, as applicable.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with the service providers listed above to operate Noko.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, you may:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time (for emails or AI features).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Retention

• Email addresses: kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Account & progress data: kept as long as you have an active account.
• Purchase records: retained as required for accounting and anti-fraud purposes.
• AI inputs: not stored permanently by us; processed only to return results.

9. Children

Noko is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us for deletion.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or on this page.
